the Bluebirds

We are registered with the LA to offer 15 hours per week term time, free early learning funding ( formerly known as pre-school education) for 3 and 4 year olds. As per other preschools in Holderness we follow the same statutory EYFS framework but feel we are able to offer a quality experience as our pre school is small, enabling more small group work including Phase 1 letter and sounds, phonics and mark making.  Outside play is an important part of modern Early Years philosophy and we have tried to incorporate aspects of the Forest School approach and we think our fantastic outside area has the WOW factor.

Montessori, Reggio and the works of Majorie Boxhall have influenced our curriculum and practice and the way we offer the EYFS framework.  This wide and varied scope allows up to date methods alongside well known and trusted methods, enabling early learning to occur.

The curriculum is overseen by Nursery Teacher Susan Goodwin BA (Hons). Lucy Level 4 and Patsy Level 3 both experienced pre school practitioners plan exciting activities for the pre school children supporting the EYFS framework. We are the main pre school feeder for Preston Primary School.
 
Kids Club

We care for children from Preston Primary school before and after school and during the holidays.We offer a homework club, a baking club and there are trips out in the holidays.
